Short Summary:
GitLab is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the newly established Platform Readiness team. This role involves architecting and evolving systems to ensure features ship successfully across all platforms by automating platform readiness evaluations.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the Platform Readiness team's workflows on the Duo Agent Platform.
- Evolve the platform requirements knowledge base and ensure it captures all platform readiness concerns.
- Build integration surfaces for feature teams to engage with the Platform Readiness team.
- Partner with platform teams to translate their expertise into structured platform requirements.
- Design systems for quality control feedback loops and improve assessment accuracy.
- Mentor other engineers on agentic-workflow standards and human-AI collaboration principles.
- Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decision records.

Requirement:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in backend, platform, or developer-facing tooling.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Python, or Golang (Ruby a plus).
- Experience shipping developer-facing tooling for engineers.
- Understanding of GitLab-style development workflows.
- Ability to work in cross-functional environments.
- Experience with structured content systems, schemas, or validation tooling.
